Welcome to the BLADE web site

The roots of Blade can be traced back to the late 70's and the Punk band the Platinum Needles. The Needles gained a large underground following in the UK between 1979 & 1982 following their split in '82 guitarist Gary Sewell formed the Demimondaines with Matt Belgrano. Matt left in '83 and within 6 months had become one of the most famous hairdo's in the UK when he appeared on a London postcard with his pink mohican. Gary went on to form Pleasure Runs Wild who gained a massive local following with their unique, aggressive yet catchy rock sound.

In the early 90's after a break from music Gary teamed up with Chris Enmarch and formed Blade. Originally a four piece Blade are now a three piece with Ringo on Drums, Chris on Bass & Gary on Guitar and Vocals.

Blade Video on You Tube

Blade have in the last 9 years gained a reputation as an awesome live band in Gary they have an instant focal point, a natural front man and in Ringo & Chris they have a solid rhythm section. Most of Blade's studio recordings can be downloaded via this site. The recorded sound of Blade has a very polished and commercial appeal about it while still maintaining the bands trademark sound. Blade have released one album so far "Calm Before The Storm" this was a limited pressing and has been unavailable for quite a while however you can download the full album in high quality MP3 format from the music page.

Blade still play live together from time to time especially around the Newport area and they made a triumphant return to Market Drayton in 2010 headlining the Rock and Bowl Festival. Gary now runs his own Media Company "The Shropshire Film & Music Company" as well as playing occasionally under the guise of the Riffmaster Terminator.
